It was built in 1932 and it is arranged over four flours with a hallway, a hall with main stairs, three bathrooms, kitchen, and eight rooms distributed as follows:
On the ground floor: a hallway, a hall with main stairs, three bedrooms (one of them with parquet floor made of English oak), corridor, kitchen with pantry, one bathroom which includes an area for the washing and dryer machine, two interior patios, one of them is 2,5×3 metres, and the other one is 6×3 metres, stairs at the back of the house that leads to the first floor for service.
On the first floor: hall with main stairs, one single bedroom with parquet floor made of English oak and terrace overlooking San Agustin street, one double bedroom with 2 built-in wardrobes, with parquet floor made of English oak, corridor, a big bathroom, with interior terrace which is 2,5×2.5 metres.
On the second floor: one bedroom with en-suite bathroom and built-in wardrobe. Hall and main stair and interior terrace which is 70 m2.
Third floor: two bedrooms, corridor, terrace overlooking San Agustin Street which is 15 m2 and small interior terrace which is 4×1 metres. Stairs leading to the flat roof.
All rooms, hall, bathrooms, kitchen and corridors are provided with natural light and fresh air from the interior patios or from the street.
Located in a plot of 150 m2, in San Agustin Street (old Calle Real) number 61, which has become pedestrianised after the town was awarded World Heritage status.
This building was designed by the architect Enrique Marrero Regalado. This architecture constructed La Laguna University building, the Palacio del Cabildo de Tenerife (the Island Council building), the Central Post Office Building in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Basílica de Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria, etc. The whole house was built with reinforced concrete and it was designed to be enlarged with two more double rooms, corridors and two bathrooms or four single bedrooms, corridors and two bathrooms.
The house benefits from high ceilings (4 metres high).
Heating is not central but each bathroom and kitchen is provided with its own water, gas and electrical heating.
Independent wiring system for each room monitored from central distribution panel located on the ground floor.
There are telephone and fax connection facilities, Internet service connection and TV and MF facilities in each room.
Electrical distribution system provided with special filters for computer equipment in every room. The whole electrical and wiring system was installed in 2001.
All doors and windows are made from Cuban mahogany and tea (Canarian pine wood which is 200 years old minimum)
Furniture: the house contains the following historical furniture:
Two tables made from barbuzano negro (an extinct endemic tree from the Canary Islands) with carved legs and supported by a trestle made of wrought iron. Carved wooden chair and bookshelf made from barbuzano negro, coming from an old castle demolished in the 40s. This furniture dates back to the XVII century.
A table made from red cedar wood which is 2×1,5 metres. The board of the table is manufactured in an entire piece of wood. It has got red cedar wooden carved legs and a trestle.
Three Vitoriera (original from La Victoria, Tenerife) chairs which date back to the XIX century. Two upholstered armchairs, the armrests are made from sabina (endemic Canarian tree).
Two bedside chairs (used to watch over a sick person) which date back to the XIX century.
An antique wooden wash stand with drawers, top made of marble, basin set made of porcelain which dates back to the XIX century.
Flemish Jesus child carving which dates back to XVI century, wearing a natural pearl bracelet, sat on a chair on mahogany pedestal. The whole carving and pedestal is covered by a dome of glass.A vertical Rachals piano, manufactured by M.F Rachals-Lohmann & CO, founded in 1832, in Hamburg (Germany)
